XSTRATA NICKEL PURCHASES A FAST IN-LINE FIRE ASSAY SYSTEM FROM IMP GROUP AUSTRALIA |

The IMP group of Australia recently completed the installation and commissioning of an automated FIFA system at the Xstrata Nickel Smelter in Sudbury – Canada. The system allows for sample and flux mixtures to be loaded into the automated Fire Assay (melting and lead casting) system.

A dedicated team of 36 service Technician heads up the service and support department. Of the 36 Technicians the qualifications range from Instrumentation, Millwrights, Electricians, Fitters as well as Software Engineers. The team is responsible for the installation, maintenance and service of Herzog sample preparation equipment and ABB Robotic equipment sold by the IMP Group.

IMP GROUP AT THE PDAC INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION IN CANADA |

IMP was proud to exhibit at the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) International Convention March 7- 10, 2010. Following IMP’s success in laboratory automation in Africa and Australasia and with market leading development in products for laboratory automation we found this the appropriate forum to introduce IMP to the broader Canadian market.
