IMP recently supplied and commissioned two RadioActivity Measurement systems to ArcelorMittal Vanderbijlpark. The units were integrated into fully automatic sample preparation and analysis systems currently in use at the Main Laboratory and Arc Furnace Laboratory at the Vanderbijlpark plant. Each and every sample is now checked for Radioactivity ensuring no contaminated steel leaves the works.
