IMP introduces the new "RC" milling machine

IMP is very pleased to release the "RC" milling machine. This machine, also known as the HPM-5000 and is a large capacity fine pulverizing batch mill.

Features:

  • The mill can accept typical "RC" samples directly without the need to pre-crush the samples.
  • The mill has the advantage that the entire sample can be pulverized without the need to split the samples first.
  • The machine can accept samples up to 25 mm particle size provided these are less than 20% of the total sample mass.
  • Depending on the ore type (bulk density), samples up to 10 kg can be entered into the mill. The mill was originally designed for 5 kg however test work has demonstrated that certain samples up to 10 kg can be processed.
  • Most ore types can be pulverized down to nominally 85% passing 75µm.

We are convinced that this new mill is set to change the way many laboratories will prepare their samples in the future. Milling the entire sample has significant benefits as a geologist knows only too well.

Options:

  • The mill has the option to split out a 500g to 1kg aliquot and present this in a cup to the operator. The residue can be automatically discarded or collected as desired.
  • The mill automatically compressed air cleans itself after processing each sample and a quartz or glass bead blast option is also available to automatically clean the grinding vessels.
  • The mill can be utilised as a standalone machine or can be integrated into a linear automation. Alternatively it can be installed in a robot automation circle where up to eight mills can be placed in one robot cell.

IMP would be very happy to carry out tests on your ore types to confirm the machine suitability.
